This ability is based on the combination of Hall effect and transformer technology. Many current probes require external power supply devices or amplifiers to display waveforms on the oscilloscope screen. LeCroy current probe is powered by LeCroy ProBus ® Connector power supply, no additional hardware required. In addition to providing power, the ProBus connector also enables communication between the current probe and oscilloscope, automatically displaying the current waveform in amperes on the screen and correctly calculating the power recorded on the scale in watts. This integration also supports direct activation of demagnetization and auto zeroing functions from the oscilloscope by pressing a button. The applications of LeCroy current probes include the design and testing of switching power supply equipment, motor drives, electric vehicles, and uninterruptible power supply equipment.
